Sensor Display/Interface (SDI)
March 2013
The Hydac SDI has been developed as a powerful condition monitoring tool for all safe area hydraulic applications. The 7" touch screen monitor allows for the display of sensor values and the ability to store them directly either onto a system network or USB storage device. The results are presented in CSV format and can be opened into Excel.
The touch screen monitor also allows for a customisable design, specific to the customer requirements and application, with a clear visual display of each test throughout its cycle.

AC-LN Range of Air Blast Coolers

The new AC-LN line of air blown coolers come with improved noise, performance and appearance, offering a substantially improved product with all the usual options (e.g. pumps, filter, by-pass valves, etc.).
Consequently, we will gradually start to phase-out the old product lines OK-EL and OK-P ranges.

Elimination of Static Electricity in Hydraulic and Lubricating Systems

Stat-Free® elements are designed to prevent the generation of static electricity by selecting filter media which does not generate significant electric charge when used with low conductive oil.
The introduction of new hydraulic and lubricant oils which conform to the latest ash-free standards through the elimination of traditional anti-wear additives, mainly zinc, has meant that these oils have been rendered non-conductive. Non-conductive fluids passing through high performance filters with a modest hydraulic load will produce a static charge which will be carried in the fluid around the system.
Problems occur in the following areas:
- Static discharge through the filter element burns holes in the filter media rendering the filter useless.
- Static discharge in the oil will burn it and cause it to age prematurely.
- Static discharge can create explosive hazards, e.g. in systems and hazardous zones.
- Static discharge could affect electronic equipment and either damage or cause inconsistent malfunction from electromagnetic waves.
The solution is to fit a HYDAC Stat-Free® filter for new build systems or a Stat-Free® element for existing systems.
Hydac have a comprehensive range of elements which can be retrofitted for most makes of filter and offer an extremely cost-effective solution to this potential problem.
Types of systems likely to be affected:
- Mobile hydraulic systems employing high performance filters with a modest hydraulic load.
- Industrial high flow hydraulic systems using mineral or synthetic fluids employing filters with a modest hydraulic load.
- Lubrication systems of medium to high flow with high performance filters.

The New ASPlight as a web application
ASPlight is a new, simplified software from HYDAC
Accumulator Technology which enables you to calculate all the necessary
parameters such as pressure, volume and temperature for the isothermal or
adiabatic charging and discharging processes of an accumulator.
It is
operated via a single window and is language neutral. The design is comparable
to a pocket calculator. Simulation curves are not shown.
ASPlight is aimed at the user who is tasked with determining the essential accumulator parameters within a short time. The software will be a particularly useful tool in your role as sales consultant in the field, by providing quick, straightforward calculations for hydraulic accumulators.
The ASPlight software can be run as a web application (without installation) or downloaded to your PC or laptop.

Return Line Inline Filter EMLF for Offshore Oil & Gas Applications

Typical application is as a re-circulation filter for offline filtration often with a separate motor-pump unit on tank sizes from 2,000 up to 10,000 litres. These are mainly used for high pressure units. This filter is also suitable as an inline return filter.

Plastic Tank Systems from One Source
Plastic tanks are mainly used where a strongly limited assembly space is given, which means that in many cases complex designs are necessary, like in mobile hydraulics. Special advantage: the customer achieves a customer-related complete system, tailored to his demands including hydraulic filter, air breather, level indicator, and screw connection – everything from one source. Plastic tank systems actively contribute to the optimisation of manufacturing costs of mobile working machinery and to the reduction of logistic and transportation costs.

Return Line Filter RFM Black
The new RFM Black filters have been developed to fulfil customers demands on a cost-efficient, but nevertheless, high-quality return line filter standard version. Since the filters are highly reduced in weight and since the number of clogging indicator connections is reduced to the most important ones, these filters can be offered with a considerably lower price. Until now, two sizes were provided (RFM 165 and 180) – others on enquiry.
